Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Coulson and Annie Leibovitz.
How would you describe the Brisbane photography scene?
Slowly evolving.
What’s your favourite hangout in Brisbane?
My Studio
When did you realise you wanted to be a photographer?
I realized I wanted to be a photographer when I was designing jewellery for my own label; I did all the photography for it and loved every minute of the shoot. At the time I thought my photo’s were fantastic, I cringe at them now but its a great way to see just how far I have grown as a photographer.
Who or what inspires you?
People, Music and Movies.
Your favourite colour?
PINK!
Last project you worked on?
An editorial titled ‘When the clock strikes 12’, shot on location around Brisbane.
Do you think experience or education matters most?
When it comes to photography, I would say experience matters most. You can’t teach creativity.
What did you wish you knew before, when you were starting out?
That I need more than just a camera. There is always a new piece of equipment I want to buy whether it be lights, lenses or a hasselblad.
Your first job you ever had?
My first job I ever had was selling cakes on the side of the road when I was 10. My first photography job was shooting a wedding.
