Brisbane Emerging Art Festival

imho, there aren’t enough opportunities for up-and-coming artists in Brisbane to be seen by people who aren’t their friends or parents (ie. people who are obligated to like your work). The Brisbane Emerging Art Festival happens to be a great exhibit which is free and will expose you to some talented people you’ve never heard of but will probably stalk on facebook afterwards.

The opening night is this Saturday the 19th of February at the Metro Arts, starting at 6pm. The exhibit will run for a week after so make sure you pay a visit, even if you have to walk past the vomity aroma of the Victory hotel next door.

And while you’re on facebook stalking these artists, you should also follow Vegas Spray, an online gallery space for emerging artists &  one of the major sponsors for this event.
