Silo Spring 2011 :: Amy Commins

In the lead up to Silo’s Spring 2011 Mixtape Launch tomorrow night at Jugglers ArtSpace, the gang here at thought it would be good to feature some of the artists that will be exhibiting as part of our Tunnel Artshow.

Amy Commins

Amy’s one of our very own, regularly contributing on with witty words, insights and general hoo-ha. I bet you didn’t know she is an art student, with her own distinct style! We were first concerned about being accused of nepotism for including one of our collective for the exhibit, but we really like her art so poo you.

Daytime job:

art student, office bitch, day tripper

Where can we see your work on the internets?

If you weren’t an artist, what would you be?

What/who inspires you?

my friends, lesley arfinwinston chmielinski, people with ambition.

Favourite website of the moment (doesn’t have to be art related):

Fave place in Brisbane!

my incredibly messy desk in the SBIT painting studios.

How would you describe the Brisbane art scene?

Growing and exciting! Like a little baby that has just discovered how to walk and grab and cry for it’s mother.

What’s next for you?

turning 23, graduating exhibition and lots of sleepless nights.

i hate what i dislike
