Calling all submissions!

Strutten in partnership with Bleeding Heart are proud to announce that submissions are now open for the Strutten launch party. To celebrate our webzine launch at the Bleeding Heart gallery Friday June 17th we would LOVE to flaunt your stuff!

Established one cool summer night on a local netball court, Strutten is a webzine that loves to celebrate Australia’s local and underground artists as well as educate, support and promote to the wider world the outstanding quality and diversity of independent art in and around Brisbane and Australia.

The Strutten selection committee i.e. US are now ready to take submissions from AUSTRALIAN artists.
We will be looking for artists who meet the following selection criteria

  1. An Australian artist.
  2. Strutten is very open to EVERY medium of art from Photography to Papier-mâché
  3. Can get us a submission before the deadline (May 7th)
  4. love what they like

Submissions for Strutten need to include the following:

  1. A minimum of three med-resolution images of recent work accompanied by titles, dimensions, medium and retail prices.
  2. A short 250 word speel/rant about yourself, your inspirations and why you think you’d be a great addition to the Strutten launch.

Additionally, please add your website and/or online portfolios with your submission – you know, so we can really stalk you…

Submissions close on Saturday May 7th, 2011. Please email your submissions including artwork
and text in a zip file to info@strutten.com.
So get submitting you creative sons-of-witches!

Now if we don’t choose you that doesn’t mean that we don’t like you (we’re just really really jealous of your talent). Artists that aren’t selected will definitely be kept for further consideration in future for interviews and other such events… so yes, we still love you.
